All our courses have been designed to develop key language skills:

At Harven you will use these four key skills to learn, practise and produce your new language. Teaching you to read and listen better will help you to understand English more easily. Showing you the way to speak and write more accurately will make you a better communicator. Utilising a wide range of resources you will be able to improve your overall ability and become a much more confident user of English.

Spoken Performance Workshop

Under a teacher’s guidance, students are set tasks that challenge them to develop their speaking skills across a range of different everyday situations and experiment with their newly acquired language.

Masterclass

In a group, students follow individual study plans under the close supervision of their teacher. The teacher sets each student learning projects tailored to them personally, which they then monitor on a one-to-one basis during the Masterclass.

Self-access

The Self-access Centre, with its computers, listening stations, cassettes, CD-ROMs, books, videos and DVDs, as well as additional practice materials, is used after class hours for self-study, at no extra cost. A teacher is available each afternoon from 1630 to 1730, to assist students with their self-study.

Group StudyPlus Activate - students finish their classes at 13.15 but may join the afternoon Self-access sessions.
