1.    Is Harven accredited by the British Council?
Yes, Harven has been accredited by the British Council since it was established in 1979.


2.    Can I enrol on a course at Harven  if I am a beginner in English?
Yes, Harven offers courses for beginner to advanced level students.

3.    How do I enrol on a course at Harven?
You can enrol by completing the online booking form which can be found on our website or simply by contacting us at or by phone on +44 (0) 1483 770969.


4.    Will the school provide me with a visa assist letter once I have enrolled?
Yes, we can help you with your visa application.


5.    Do I need to organise my own health insurance before I travel?
Yes, please ensure you arrange your own travel insurance before you come to the UK.


6.    If my visa is refused, will I receive a refund?
Yes, but you must provide us with a copy of the refusal letter.


7.    How do I get from the airport to Harven?
With prior notice Harven can arrange a return chauffeur to pick you up from all London airports.

8.    How far is the school from the station and town centre?
Harven is only a 5 minute walk away from the station and town centre.


9.    How far is Woking from London?

London Waterloo is only 25 minutes away by train.
   

10.   How do I get to and from the school each day?

All of our homestay accommodation is within 10-30 minutes walking distance of the school.
For the Summer Junior Programme, Harven has an escort bus service which takes you to and from the school.


11.    If I have any problems during my stay at Harven who should I contact?

We have a friendly team at Harven who are always on hand to assist you.  Upon arrival, you will also be issued with a 24 hour emergency number.


12.    Do I receive a certificate at the end of my course?

Yes, we provide you with a certificate upon completion of your course.


13.    Can I extend or upgrade my course once I have started?

Yes, you are free to extend or upgrade your course at any time.


14.    Does Harven offer anything other than Homestay accommodation?
Harven offers fantastic homestay accommodation with carefully chosen host families.  However, should you require alternative accommodation, the Harven team will provide
you with details of other options within the Woking area.


15.    If I am not satisfied with my homestay, will Harven find me alternative accommodation?
Yes, our Accommodation Officer will endeavour to find you alternative homestay accommodation, subject to availability.


16.    Does Harven School have free internet access?

Yes, Harven has a Self Access area where you can use the internet for free. Free Wi-Fi is also available.


17.    When can I start my course?

Harven is open all year round with courses starting every Monday of the year. Our Junior programme runs every summer between July and August.


18.    What is the minimum age requirement for a Harven course?

Harven offers courses for adults aged 17+ all year round and courses for juniors aged 14-17 every summer.


19.    Do I need to bring any books or school supplies with me?

No, Harven provides all necessary materials which are included in the price of the course.
